I bought this BluRay player from our local Walmart after i had purchased my 40" Samsung 1080p HDTV from BestBuy last fall '08 around the Thanksgiving Black Friday event!!!
I loved the BluRay Player out the box... but eventually 4-5 months later the newer BluRays came out - and the thing didnt want to play them, it was really makin me mad!!! The Parts were only thing covered after 3 months of the 1yr Limited Warrenty, then outrageous LABOR CHARGES!!!! I called support they told me i need to have it hooked up the Ethernet Jack so it could update - IT WAS - IT D/L'd the new v2.x SOFTWARE by itself AUTOMATICALLY months ago (only when there is not a disc in drive tho-this i was already aware of!!) They told me it need to be cleaned...which i always would try!! Samsung finally took it in after 11months of owning it, FIXED IT, Returned it to me within the next week, added an extended 1yr Warrenty Replacement...BEEN HAPPY EVER SINCE!!! They Put a new drive in it and figured it was defunct out the box!!!
The Samsung ANYNET+ Feature is sweet....u put a disc in and everything turns on automatically, all simultaneously!!!! If ur not a techy guru and dont want 3 different remotes there ANYNET+ allows to chane settings from either your TV, BluRay, or Theatre systems Remotes!! ONLY if all three pieces of equipment are SAMSUNG ANYNET+ Products though!!!
Luv SAMSUNG...wish i had gotten a better Player first time round....but i will still back SAMSUNG's Products after there turnaround n fixit on this Player!!
4 Stars only cuz of 5-6months dinkin round with tech line b4 finally takin it in and fixin it!!!!
REGISTER YOUR PRODUCTS....I WOULDA NEVER GOT THIS GREAT SERVICE WITHOUT PRODUCT REGISTRATION!!!!! |
